THE NIGHT IS BETTER IN GOOD COMPANYOur name began with a time-zone mismatch.
It became a way to find each other.
We made our home on a North American Normal PvE realm. But with many of us living in Japan, the Philippines and elsewhere across Asia and Oceania, our evenings fell in the server’s quietest hours.
Late nights. Early mornings. We were the ones still awake.
Many of us originally come from North America. Wherever we’re from, we’re an English-speaking group brought together by the game and the people in it.
A TALE TOLD AFTER DARK
It all began one quiet night, beside a campfire on a lonely road in Azeroth.
While most travellers slept, a handful of Alliance adventurers remained awake. Some were resting after a long journey, others were keeping watch, and one was waiting for a companion who had fallen behind.
Rather than face the dangers of the night alone, they decided to keep each other company. They shared stories, helped one another, and took turns watching over the camp until morning.
What began as a chance meeting soon became a tradition. Whenever their paths crossed, they would gather around the fire again. Before long, word began to spread among travellers and adventurers:
“If you find yourself wandering after dark, seek the blue banner and the watchful eye. You'll always find a friend there.”
And so, Yakousei was born.
We raid. We learn. We want to do things right.
Being the best isn’t the point.
A friendly group of men and women with different skill levels. There’s room to improve, and room to be yourself.
We’re not ultra-hardcore, but we’re gamers. When it’s time to tackle something together, we take the effort seriously.
Raiding is part of the picture. So is simply having good company in a world worth coming back to.

夜行性 (yakōsei, written here as Yakousei) is Japanese for “nocturnal”: being active at night.
夜 means “night,” 行 refers to movement or activity, and 性 describes a nature or tendency. Together, they describe a night-active way of life.
A fitting name for those of us still awake, sharing an adventure after dark.
